The scope of this page
This page is about the information that reaches us via the website, by phone and by email, and about what happens to it afterwards.
Information we receive
When you complete the online form, we receive what you enter in it:
- your description of the job;
- the job’s address or its ZIP code, if the form has a field for it;
- your name, telephone number and email address.
If you call or write, we note what you tell us and keep anything you send, such as photographs. On top of that, our hosting provider’s servers record a few technical details each time a page is opened: the IP address, the browser, the page and the time. These records help keep the site secure and working.
The website chat
When you write in the chat on this site, we keep the conversation: your messages and whatever you type there, like your name, telephone number, email or what the job is. Saved with it are the page you opened the chat on, the site that sent you here, your rough location, read from your internet address, the kind of device and browser you use, and a random code your browser stores so your chats on the website can be told apart. An automated assistant may answer you there, and the providers that run it process your messages to draft its replies. All of this goes toward answering you, helping you book the work and making the chat better.
Why we need it
Your details let us reply to you, schedule and do the job, and check in with you about it later. We also use them for our own records, for keeping the site safe and for meeting the requirements the law places on us.
Where information goes
Others who may see your information:
- the companies that host the website, handle our email and deliver messages from the online form;
- service partners who help us respond to you or do the work;
- authorities or others, when a law requires it or when it is needed to protect rights or safety.
About cookies
Advertising and analytics cookies are not used here. A strictly necessary cookie for security may be set by our host, and the host may also tally visits without using cookies at all. Those figures are anonymous totals of page views.
What you can ask us
By email or by phone, you can ask us three things: what personal information we hold about you, to have that information corrected, and to delete it. Expect us to confirm your identity before we act. Making such a request will never mean worse treatment, prices or service.
Opting out of sale or sharing
Residents of certain states are legally entitled to opt out of any “sale” or “sharing” of personal information, in the meaning their laws give those words. The steps are on the Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information page.
How long we keep it
Information stays on file for the time it takes to deal with your request and do the work, and then for any period our records and the law require. Then we delete it.
Security
We look after information with reasonable safeguards, though no system can ever be perfectly secure.
Children
We do not direct this site to children under 13, nor do we knowingly collect a child’s information.
Changes to this page
This page may be revised now and then; the date at the top tells you which version you are reading.
